MEET SHIELDS

Shields is her first name (she gets asked a lot). Born in the midlands of South Carolina between the mountains and the coast, Shields has been a painter since the age of 9. During her education she received over 950 hours of instruction in studio art and design, and she has invested far more in study and practice to hone her skills.   Uniquely, Shields was a student in both the Calhoun Honors College at Clemson University and the Honors College at the University of South Carolina-she graduated magna cum laude. Her husband, Tony, was enamored by her charm and talent 17 years ago and they have been inseparable ever since.  They have 4 children: Madaline, Anabel, Canon, and Lavinia.
